Bush Walking
Foster is central to many beautiful walking tracks including: Wilsons Promontory National Park, Tarra Bulga National Park, The Great Southern Rail Trail, Bald Hills wetlands walk and bird watching, as well as many beaches and local walking tracks.
Local Markets
South Gippsland has markets every weekend including Farmers markets and Craft markets. There are also a variety of festivals in the area depending on the time of year: Tea Cosy Festival, Pear Party, Sea Days Festival, Annual Foster Agricultural Show. There are also cafes and restaurants with live local music to relax to.
Local Landmarks
There are too many sites to list but here are a few: Long Jetty at Port Welshpool (great for fishing), Cape Liptrap Lighthouse, Turtons Creek waterfalls, Agnes waterfalls, many gallery's and art displays, and local lookouts.
